Life is Good

That is probably the first time I have said that and meant it since L.A.!

Life really is good, at least for now!

Last Friday I met a girl that lives close by and she’s a junior and she can drive and she is just perfect! We are alike in so many ways! 1.We both play tennis 2.We both love to workout and eat healthy 3.We both love food<3 4.We both have no interest in any drugs or drinking or anything of the sort 5.Just read this text!

Thats not the only marvelous thing either! Official track practice starts next week, I have been running with the long distance guys for months but it hasn’t been official. I have my fingers crossed but I am still scared I may get hurt during the season and I didn’t want to waste all my training so I decided to go all out and ran a 14 mile trail race!

A few people in my Saturday running group have been talking about it for over a month but I always thought it would be too long or hard. Tuesday of last week I just decided why not!? #YOLO I called one of the guys from the group for a ride because the race was about an hour away.

On Thursday and Friday I ate so much carbs and I think I may actually start eating more carbs everyday. It kept me really full and satisfied. Friday I think I ate about a pound of pasta and some lemon cookies the girl brought me! Saturday I woke up at 6:30 and had a bagel with PB, banana, and some greek yogurt. I felt like I was going to burst but I knew I had to get those carbs! We got to Ceasars Creek State Park at 8 and had an hour before the race which I spent trying my hardest not to get super nervous and using the bathroom a couple times. #racingprobs

At 9 the race started, it was the most nonchalant race start I’ve ever seen. The director came and said “Good luck, it’s muddy, ready, set, GO!” And with that I took off. I was going to get a good starting position because I knew there was going to be mostly single track trails and because if someone is behind you trying to pass I always speed up! Throughout the race I was passed some and I will definitely write a recap for this race and more about the weekend this week!

I will let my pants be the preview for the race! ;)

It’s marvelous that I have finally reached 20,000 total views in about 8 months!

Happy Marvelous Monday
