My life running, serving and cooking!

A Great Week

Hey everyone! (This kind of thing is the only way I can ever think to start a post! Sorry!)

This week has been great (see title^) haha

Everyday I had something to look forward during or after my day. Throughout the week I posted three times, something I haven’t done in at least a month or two. I remember why I used to do it! I love going to my stats page and seeing I got 100 views or something from maybe 35 individual viewers just makes me smile. It makes me think about me reading blogs online and imagine 35 people doing the exact same as me, except reading what I am writing right now.

Wednesday I finally wrote down the long forshadowed changes in my life. Thursday I posted a Thankful Thursday follow up on the Workout Buddies program. (I just searched Bing for workout buddies and look what came up!? It doesn’t happen on Google but still thats crazy!)

So on to my fantastic week!

Monday - The day itself drug on for days it seemed BUT, I had tennis to look forward to! I used to dread tennis or simply think of it as practice or exercise. Exercise should be fun not a chore! Now I love tennis because an old friend plays is in my clinic. We mess around all practice and don’t really get any better but we have fun! And really I don’t need to get better because I am not playing tennis this year because I love running and because I have bad memories of last year. When I got home from tennis I found a cookie cake for no occasion because #YOLO! It helped fuel me staying up till 1 writing poems on my favorite book, Born To Run for a project. I may post them sometime! I think some were really good!

Tuesday - The day went pretty quick nothing special really happenned BUT, it was 60 something degrees so I went with the XC guys on a shirtless run called Polecat. During the season I was never good enough to do it because it is a 7 mile loop. Obviously now I am in the best shape of my life and we did it with an average SUB-7 minute mile pace. I’m not saying I wasn’t dieing but I loved every second of it! After long hard runs my abs and everything look so pumped! I also started my drivers ed and I made a new friend. Sadly the kid from this post is in it with me also.

Wednesday - At school I had my presentation of my poem book about Born to Run (that gave me an excuse to dress up!) After school I decided to skip running with my team in hopes of taking it easy. Instead I ran with a running group out of my local running store. There was a new guy so instead of the normal 8:30 pace, we averaged 7:10 in hard, cold wind and rain. I also got mexican food for dinner! #Polloloco

Thursday - I can’t remember anything that made this day special besides the fact that it was really cold. The temperature went from 66 degrees Wednesday at midnight, to 16 degrees Thursday to run at 3. (not counting wind chill) It dropped 50 degrees in 40 hours #ohioprobs. I ran faster than the team and over 4 miles got a whole lap ahead of them! I needed goggles practically it was snowing so hard. Thursday night was also my second drivers ed class! I have had my permit for months and driven maybe 45 minutes in the parking lot. #toobusy

Friday - TGIF! The week went so fast after Monday it was just so fast. During the day I: 1) Made babies in biology, my partner for the quarter is a really funny girl and it was just really fun. 2) During Honors Alg. 2 my favorite teacher, the honors geometry teacher, came to see us. He says we are his favoritew class ever, class is just fun with him. He brought tons of baked things he made for us and just talked to us and showed us pictures (funny and inspirational and everything in between). He really likes me because we share so many interest and last year I needed so much help, I was at school early everyday but maybe 5 (maybe less). He grades on effort not product so he ended up bumping my grade up last year. After school I went to lift for the first time in months. I was going to lift with *my dad*, but he didn’t show up. I let people scare me out of doing certain things but still got a pretty good workout and a 2 mile dreadmill run. I finished with a 2 minute plank, the below was the result of this single plank. #sweaty

*Something I forgot to mention about school everyday was that everyday instead of staying in study hall alone, I went to the library to hangout with friends. One of the people I was with was a senior and he is the nicest person. He is a huge football player and ever since my first day of lifting last year (when I was like a twig) he has said I was his son. I don’t know why he cares so much but he sticks up for me like a dad really! He is gonna start working me out soon too.*

On Friday I also had a revalation. I am going to add something to my goals. I will explain this soon! #happiness

  1. Whoaaa!! That’s so cool about the senior football player! I LOVE the super friendly upperclassmen, and I’m hoping I can be as down-to-earth as them in a few years! Also.. Your runs are sounding really awesome and intense! Goodness, I’m getting tired just reading about them! Haha XD
